The app is built, signed and submitted. Before Google will list it publicly it has to run a closed test, and that test needs people in it. Join and you get the finished app now, and you bring the public launch forward.

It has to be the Google account actually signed in on the Android phone, because that is the address Google Play checks.

Usually the same day. You get a reply as soon as it is done.

This link only recognises you once your address is on the list, so open it after the reply rather than before.

That same page then shows a normal Download on Google Play link. Updates arrive automatically, like any other app.
What is in it
The whole Quran, with no internet permission
The app does not declare android.permission.INTERNET. That is not a promise, it is a manifest entry you can check: without it Android itself refuses the app a network socket. Every ayah, translation and recitation is already on the device.
175 translations in 70 languages
The website carries 40. The app carries all 175, including eighteen in English and six in Urdu, and you can show two at once.
Word by word, with audio for every word
Each word shows its meaning underneath, and tapping one plays that single word. The words light up as al-Afasy recites.
Prayer times worked out on the device
From your coordinates and the sun's position, with the calculation method and Asr school your masjid uses. No lookup, no server.
28 adhan voices, 11 of them Fajr adhans
Scheduled as exact alarms, so the adhan sounds at the right minute rather than whenever the system next happens to wake. It works with the app closed.
Qibla compass, and a home screen widget
The bearing and the great circle distance to Makkah, plus a widget showing the next prayer and a countdown to it.

Why can I not just download it from Google Play today?
Google requires every new personal developer account to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before the app is allowed on the public store. That is the rule the app is working through now. Joining the test is what shortens it.
Is the test version the finished app?
Yes. It is the same build, version 2.1.0, that will go on the public store. Nothing is disabled or watermarked.
What does it cost?
Nothing, now or later. There are no ads, no subscription, no in app purchase and no account.
What happens to my email address?
It goes on the Google Play tester list for this app and nowhere else. It is not added to any mailing list and it is not shared. Ask and it is removed.
How big is the download?
About 1.5 GB, because the entire Quran, 175 translations and the complete recitation are stored on the device rather than streamed. Install it on Wi-Fi.
Which Android versions does it run on?
Android 8.0 and later.
